How does the Pillow “work”?

June 25, 2014

“The longer I use my pillow – the more I love it. I have suffered with a pinched nerve in my neck for many years. I no longer have the pain in my back, no tingling or numbness in my hand and don’t wake with my hands and arms asleep an more. (My husband) also likes his and has noticed that he no longer has neck pain. Well worth the money!”

When you are ready to sleep, simply squeeze your pillow ends together with both hands, to ’round’ the pillow in the centre. Then lay down so that your shoulders are on the bed, and the buckwheat hull pillow is resting against your shoulders and firmly under your neck. Then move your head in a ‘no’ motion so as to burrow into the pillow a bit. As you do this the pillow will become firmer under your neck for support, and your spine will gently align itself into an anatomically correct sleeping position. You will know when you’ve aligned correctly: you’ll get that ‘ahhh..’ moment when you are utterly relaxed.

Like everything, a buckwheat hull pillow may take a little time to get used to; your body may not be used to sleeping correctly. Don’t fret! Some folks take a week or two to adjust, but with fantastic results. Stick with it.
